Victorian Valance 9229 Print

How can I alter the swag?
Angles and shapes of the curves would have to change. We cannot help you with that.

Can I alter the jabots?
Yes, alterations are included.

The pattern calls for the swag to be cut on the bias, but my fabric needs to be cut upright is that ok?
Yes, but you should still cut the lining on the bias.

I want to use a fabric that has a border. I want it to be on the bottom of the valance. In order to do this, the valance will have to be railroaded. Can I do this?
No, the 9229 has to be cut in separate pieces to sew together. Some of the bottom edges are curved. Pattern 9204 can be railroaded if you can use a valance depth of 16”.

Can the valance be made with some of the headers as a whole unit?
No, the only header that can be made with the valance is the straight one. All the others are considered elaborate and are on a separate rod.

Could this valance be installed on an arched curtain road and still look good?
No, it is not shaped for an arch.
