This pattern was revised in 2005. If you don’t
have the latest pattern you may return your used pattern for
a new one at ½ price. If your pattern is unused there
is no charge, except shipping cost.
The curved box valance was not designed
for a curved window. It is de-signed for a straight window,
to give the appearance of a curve.
I like the look of the Curved Box Valance, but I
would like a straight top pattern.
A straight top valance pattern and instructions are included
in the new revised 2005 copy.
Can I alter the pattern?
Alteration limits for the width are given on the yardage page.
We cannot give you instructions beyond those. Depth alterations
are included.
On the straight valance do you press down the pleats
or not?
Do not crease the pleat edge. They should hang softly.
Do I staple the pleated valance to the back of the
front board? Won’t the support boards be in the way?
The valance staples behind the face of the board, even with
the bottom edge. It’s best that the board wedges don’t
come all the way to the bottom edge, but if yours does, you
can clip the valance so it can fit under them.
How do I mount the board to the wall?
To install you should attach “L” brackets to the
wall first. Place them so the 1” wedges of the board
can rest on them. Then screw from underneath the board to
secure the board to the wall. These instructions are included.
